Stop At: Bacvice Beach

Bacvice beach is a natural phenomenon in the heart of the city and also the most popular sandy beach in the center. The beach is only 1 km away from the center of Split. You can reach it on foot in just 10 minutes by heading in the direction of the main bus station and the ferry port. Just cross the bridge and you will already see the sandy bay.

Poljud stadium is a multi-use stadium in the Croatian city of Split. It takes its name from the neighbourhood of Poljud, and is located on the northern side of the Split peninsula.

Kašjuni beach is located on the southern foothills of the Marjan peninsula to the west of the city center. This no-frills beach provides a quiet city getaway in pristine nature without all the plastics and concretes disturbing your view.

Stop At: Teraca Vidilica

Marjan is a hill on the peninsula of the city of Split. It is covered in a dense Mediterranean pine forest and completely surrounded by the city and the sea, making it a unique sight. Originally used as a park by the citizens as early as the 3rd century, it is a favorite weekend excursion destination and a recreational center for the city. It is also the setting for numerous beaches and jogging trails as well as tennis courts and the city Zoo, all surrounded by the scenic forest. The tip of the peninsula houses the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries. Vidilica is place with great panoramic view of old town and Diocletian Palace.

Salona was an ancient city and the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia. The name Salona preserves the language of the early inhabitants of this area whom the Romans called Dalmatae, and considered to be part of a larger group called Illyrians.

Stop At: Klis Fortress

Klis is a Croatian town located around a mountain fortress bearing the same name. It is located in the region of Dalmatia, located just northeast of Solin and Split near the eponymous mountain pass. It has a population of 2,621, totalling 4,421 together with the eight other villages in its municipality (census 2001).The Klis mountain pass separates the mountains Mosor and Kozjak at the altitude of 360m. It has had a major strategic value throughout history, because any inland force passing through Klis would have been able to easily reach the entire region of Split and Kaštela. During the Ottoman wars in Europe, an already existing Roman fortress on a nearby hill was expanded into Klis Fortress. It was the centre of a sanjak within the Province of Bosnia during Ottoman rule. Klis was also ruled by Kingdom of Bosnia, Venetian Republic and Austria-Hungary. Due to its geographical position, Klis is also susceptible to a rather strong bura wind.
